Free Intro Classes Free intro Classes for September, 2010
These are offered regularly to give new students the chance to visit Heartsong Yoga Center, try a class, and meet the teachers. Classes are held on a seasonal basis, often before a course begins. All adults junior high school age and above are welcome to attend. These classes are not prerequisites for attending drop in classes. Call for more information: sheila@heartsongyoga.com

Free Introduction to YogaBasics, Kripalu Style YogaTuesday night, September 14, 7:30 pm. With Heartsong's director Sheila Magalhaes.
Kripalu style yoga is at the heart of every class at Heartsong Yoga. This free intro session will give the new practitioner a chance to learn a little about the background and intentions of practice, understand some of the benefits of a regular yoga practice, and have an experience of a traditional gentle class, appropriate for "every-body." Drop ins welcome, Jr. High school age and above.
We do not run "courses" for all levels or gentle Kripalu style yoga, as our drop in classes welcome new student in every single class, no experience is ever needed!

Free Introduction to Ashtanga YogaWednesday, September 15, 7:30 pm.
Fall Courses: 6 weeks, Pre Register, $84.00 September 22 to Oct. 27. November 3 to Dec. 15, skip Nov. 24.
Sometimes called Power Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga is a fun, hot, vigorous series of postures practiced in a heated room. The challenging and graceful flow combines breath and movement into a meditation in motion. This is your chance to check out a class and see if it is a style that you'd like to explore. Drop ins welcome, Jr. High school age and above.

Meditation and Mindfulness Just for TeensFall Session Free Class: Mon. Sept. 27, 7:30 pm.
Winter Session Free Class: Mon. Jan. 17, 7:30 pm.
Spring Session Free Class: Mon. Apr. 4, 7:30 pm.
8 week courses with Leslie Smith Frank start the Monday following the free classes each season. Fee for the course: $90.00 includes all materials, along with home practice information and cd.

8 week program based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the Center for Mindfulness and Medicine, University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
