40 Days to a Life Makeover!
Starts Tuesday night, October 5

6 Tuesday night meetings, 6 to 8 pm, and the 7th...a Celebration Party!! (we might go later on the first and the last day)

Many of us are at the point where we are ready to commit to better self-care, personal awakening, empowerment and peace of mind. Our goal might be to have a stronger, pain-free body, improved nutritional practices, or a spiritually deeper experience of life. We have the resources within us to attain these goals, but it's tough to do by ourselves, without knowledgeable support and guidance.

Yogic science teaches that it takes 40 days to create or change a habit. A 40-day commitment to change can provide the shift needed to develop a healthy habit or to drop a destructive habit. A first step in experiencing the challenge and the satisfaction of lasting change is to commit to 40 consecutive days of yoga practice.

The place is here. The time is now.
Heartsong Yoga is offering its first 40-day program based on Baron Baptiste's book 40 Days To Personal Revolution. The Heartsong Yoga program is modified to be accessible to anybody at any stage of their yoga practice from very beginners to the very advanced.

The program asks you to commit to 40 consecutive days of yoga classes, any Heartsong class or level that works for you and your schedule. You will also be incorporating guided daily meditation and self-discovery excavation/journaling exercises into your life.

Each Tuesday night at 6 pm, we will meet and do some yoga together (Sheila will lead the practice) and practice meditation as a group. (introducing Deborah Sirulnik) Each week will include nutritional consultation and recipes by Renee Hastings for incorporating healthy eating into your every day life. On week 4, she will offer 3 choices for a 3 day cleanse (participation will be optional.) Sheila, Deborah and Renee will co facilitate an opportunity for all to share personal experiences with the program and discuss which issues we will be "bringing into awareness" during the up coming week

We appreciate the fact that a daily commitment to showing up at Heartsong may not be logistically possible for everyone. To that end, we have modified the program to include at-home classes on CDs and website connection for support. So you never need to miss a day!

The cost of the program is $300. pre registered by the "early bird" date, Sept. 21. After that it is $350 and you might not get your copy of the book in time for class 1.

The benefits of the program are priceless. (Memberships and class cards will be put on 'hold' during the program.) This includes unlimited yoga classes, weekly support and guidance, personalized nutritional plans and recipes, home practice CD, a Life Makeover journal and a copy of the book '40 Days to Personal Revolution'

Strengthening and toning your body.
Learning six different meditation techniques. One is bound to work for you.

Feng shui is an ancient and wise approach to the way our environment affects us. The way we feel and the way we act is affected in a great amount by the environment which surrounds us. Therefore, by learning how to properly organize what surrounds us, we can improve our lives!

Feng shui shows us how our spaces can be designed and re-arranged in order to provide us the right balance and harmony. Simple things such as the position in which we place our desk, can become determinative to the harmony we feel in that space, and affect factors such as the concentration we may have when working in that space.

Feng shui can provide us a very rich and wise new world to explore. We can learn to understand and improve our environment or space, and in this way, it allows us to improve our life style and our energy by maximizing the environment in which we are.

Ayurveda, which is the Indian science of health and well-being, recommends working with the natural shifts that occur as the seasons change.

Come prepared for teaching, discussion, and movement as we will be exploring a yoga practice ideal for the spring season. Each participant will leave with a personal plan for daily practice to bring home and integrate into their lifestyle.

Laura Hudson is a 500-hour Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher and longtime student of Ayurveda. She is currently completing her Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant Certification at Kripalu and attending the Winter Herb Intensive at Goldthread Apothecary in Florence, MA. She has found the principles of Ayurveda to be very enlightening as she enters mid-life in terms of recognizing the shifts and changes that are happening and how to deal with them.
