The Power of Practice, Yoga Teacher Training and immersion long weekend.
    For Yoga Teachers &
    Practitioners

Tentative dates: first weekend of April, 2011 (a long weekend)

    Who should attend?
No matter where we are on the path of yoga, we are all lifetime students when it comes to the study and practice of this ancient tradition. In this training we welcome all dedicated yoga students who want to explore not only the physical practice of yoga but the 'deeper practices' and underlying philosophies as well. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone who is considering teaching yoga in the future. Students who simply love yoga should come! Teachers who are currently in training and teachers who want to continue their education will benefit from immersing themselves in this community of passionate practitioners with the guidance and inspiration of Beryl's down to earth teaching style.

Hidden in the simple limbs of the classical Raja path are coded instructions for the transformation of Human Consciousness and the discovery of the True Self. We will work our way through this brilliant methodology, accessing ever increasingly subtle and deeper levels of consciousness.

    Workshop includes:

  • Development of a strong personal asana practice in the Krishnamacharya tradition, often known as Astanga/Vinyasa/Power Yoga.
  • Development of a regular pranayama and meditation practice.
  • Therapeutic value and methodology of assisting, adjustments, alignment, alternative and modified postures in the hands-on traditions.
  • Yoga Therapy, applying healing energies, interpreting energy fields.
  • Detoxification (tapas) for freedom from pain and disease.
  • Philosophy and Scriptural (Yoga Sutra) Study, ethical considerations
    and the Yoga lifestyle.

These 25 contact hours may be put towards continuing education credits, to deepening your individual yoga practice, or added to other teacher training hours taken with Beryl Bender Birch. You must attend all sessions to receive your certificate.

Public Classes for those not attending the training will also open up:
