Yoga Nidra Classes July 10, August 7, 7:30 pm (Usually offered the first Thurs of each month, 7:30-9 pm, unless there is a holiday conflict)
Yoga Nidra is the name of the deep relaxation led at the end of every yoga class. This workshop with Heartsong's senior teacher Jane Anable will expand on the practice, giving you the chance to experience a powerful yoga technique for deep rest.

Restorative Yoga Mondays, 7:30 pm July 21, August 18
Please join Lauri Deary (Anusara-inspired yoga teacher) for an evening of Restorative Yoga which includes; pranayama, gentle movements to open the body followed by supported poses designed to promote rest and deep relaxation. This process allows the body, mind and heart to align with the energy from the Universe which flows like a gentle stream through the heart, restoring, revitalizing and rejuvinating your entire being. Connect to the source of stillness and deep peace that resides within you and bring that sense of calmness and well being to everything you do.

Family Yoga Classes Back by Popular Demand! Sundays 11:00 to 11:45 July 20, no class in Aug.
Join director Sheila Magalhaes for this playful exploration of the practice of yoga, appropriate for all ages, especially those who just want to have some fun and enjoy a light hearted approach to practicing as a family and a community. Expect to make some noise, to celebrate animals and nature, and to enjoy some partner yoga. All are welcome, families, friends, and all yoga buddies of all ages. Find the yoga kid inside yourself!
$5.00 per person, all ages, walk ins welcome!

Full Moon Yoga Classes Held on every "Full Moon" Sunday at 6 PM July 20, "The Hay Moon", August 17, "the Green Corn Moon"
The 6 pm Sunday night yoga classes that fall on or near the full moon are a delightful blend of mystery, history and magic. Join us as we weave in the stories of the moon and the natural world to the practice of yoga. Each special class is unique to the month & season. $14.00 to drop in, or use your class card, or FREE for monthly members, no pre registration required. All Levels welcome.

Ashtanga Second Series Exploration Monday, August 25, and the last Monday of each month. $18. pre registered and pre paid. $20. at the door, Heartsong Monthly Members always only $18.00.
This specialty class has been developed by Michelle Ryan, who will be coming out to Heartsong once a month to offer this class. It is targeted specifically for students who practice the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga already and would like to learn the second series postures in a workshop style. She will lead the students in learning how to develop each posture as well as the modifications for individuals. The group will cover as many postures as there is time for!

Meditation and Mindful Movement

Tuesday nights, 7:30 to 9:00 pm. This class is now offered on an ongoing basis on our core drop in schedule, and you can walk in, $14.00 like a yoga class) use your class card, or use your membership!
This class is a creative sampling of Buddhist and Toaist meditation techniques. In this session, you will explore sitting, standing, walking and moving meditation as well as breath-work, natural imagery and the mindful verses of Thich Nhat Hanh.
Robert Rivest has been a professional performing artist since 1983. He has presented over 4,000 educational programs covering humor, science, health and stress management. From his initial training in mime, dance, theatre and improvisation, Robert expanded his studies to include meditation, tai-chi, yoga, qigong, and breath-work. In 1997 Robert developed his Meditation and Mindful Movements series and has taught it in schools, yoga centers, hospitals and community centers ever since. He resides in Springfield, Ma with his wife Amelia and their twin daughters.
With Rob's down-to-earth sense of humor and engaging style, Meditation & Mindful Movements is a fun, natural and effective way to build concentration, quiet the mind, and calm the body.
