Please join us for our 15th Anniversary Celebration at Heartsong Yoga, all students and their families are welcome to attend this free event.
This is a chance for us to say "Thank You" to all of our students and friends for their support and commitment to practice over the last 15 years! We are honored to share our passion for yoga and mindful living with you all, and are grateful for the opportunity to continue bringing "peace to our hearts, peace to our homes and peace to our world." The gathering will give us a chance to bring our yoga community together for a fun filled evening of yoga, music, good food and great company.
5:45: All Levels Yoga with a round robin of teaching by the Heartsong Yoga teachers. (this class is free but consider bringing in a generous food item donation for the Open Pantry to kick off our season of Giving Thanks and Gratitude)
6:45 - 7:30: Delicious snacks and treats, tea and non-alcoholic drink, hosted by Kathleen Delaney of Great Grapes Catering.
7:30 - 9:00: Kripalu Drummers Shaun Laframboise and Allison Gemmel will lead us in a dynamic, rhythmic, fun filled experience of a Drum Circle! They will be bringing a van load of drums to share with us, but if you have a drum of any kind, bring it along, as well as your favorite musical instruments of any kind, especially shakers and rattlers, bells and all percussion! No experience needed to enjoy the primal pulse of the drum circle.
At the end of the drumming Allison will lead us all in a Yoga Nidra experience to gently relax and restore us all! We will finish our snacks and enjoy our community together.
RSVP please, by November 12 We need numbers for supplies and food, Send Me an Email While this event welcomes your family, it is not geared towards children, and if they want to participate in the music portion there will not be enough drums for the kids to use, so please bring along your own shakers or rattlers for the party!

We will also discuss modifications for individual needs, tension patterns, and rehabilitation in a compassionate and gentle manner. Enjoy her light-hearted and fun style with plenty of adjustments and modifications.
After a short break, (bring water and snacks) the second half of the day will begin with time for Q&A on the practices, the philosophy, and the importance of developing and maintaining a personal practice, and then Christine will introduce basic principles of Ayurveda, the ancient science of self-healing, and how they can support your health and well-being.
Sunday's class will be a "full on" second series class, focusing on the back bending and deeper twists of "nadi shodhana" or the "nerve cleansing practice." Pre requisites: You are a strong practitioner of any tradition and you took the Saturday day long workshop with Christine, or, you know the primary series of astanga yoga already and are ready to explore the second series. She is the is the founder and director of Bristol Yoga in the foothills of the Green Mountains of Vermont, and has been practicing and teaching Astanga Yoga for more than a decade. An afternoon with a Tibetan Monk
| | | Our yearly visit with Khen Rinpoche on Saturday, October 19th, 2008 was a fabulous success!
Thank you, everyone, for your tremedous support of this gracious and loving man. We were able to present the Geshe with a check for the Siddhartha School in the amount of $469.00, the amount of the generous donations that we recieved on September 21, 2008, at our Global Mala Event, held on the UN International Day of Peace.
This Sunday, Heartsong students generously donated an additional $553.00 which we sent directly to the Siddhartha School both to support the school and the student that Heartsong sponsors there, Rigzin Yangdol Chonjor.
This makes a grand and generous total of $1,022.00 in direct donations for the Siddhartha School in Heartsong Yoga's name. Thank You so much.

Geshe: "Don't worry. Make yourself happy, useful, meaningful. If you are happy, peaceful, and calm, your family and friends will be happy too, and so will your society. You have the power to bring peace."
