Astanga Yoga News
April will be an exciting month for Astanga Yoga fans, with our very first offering of a 25 hour, yoga alliance approved teacher training with Beryl Bender Birch. In this training we welcome all dedicated yoga students who want to explore not only the physical practice of yoga but the "deeper practices" and underlying philosophies as well. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone who is considering teaching yoga in the future. Students who simply love yoga should come! Teachers who are currently in training and teachers who want to continue their education will benefit from immersing themselves in this community of passionate practitioners with the guidance and inspiration of Beryl's down to earth teaching style.
Curious about Second Series of Astanga Yoga? If you have experience with Primary Series, join our own Maureen Dhamodharan for an exploration of this "next step" in the practice. More back bending, fun twists, and new and interesting postures will be broken down for practice, with modifications offered for all.
Brand new to Astanga Yoga, but interested in trying it out? Our Level One Primary Series Astanga Yoga classes are a great introduction to the practice, we offer them on Monday night at 6 pm, Wednesday mornings at 9:15, and Sunday mornings at 9 am. New students always warmly welcomed in!
