Full Moon and More

The Full Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the autumn equinox. In two years out of three, the Harvest Moon comes in September, but in some years it occurs in October. At the peak of harvest, farmers can work late into the night by the light of this Moon. Corn, pumpkins, squash, beans, and wild rice, the chief Indian staples are now ready for gathering.

Celebrate this Beautiful Full Moon this Sunday night at 6 pm with Beth Wadden, who teaches this all levels drop in yoga class with a delightful blend of mystery, history and magic. Each month around the time of the full moon, when Beth teaches these specialty classes, she weaves in the stories of the moon and the natural world with the compassionate practice of Kripalu Yoga.

$14.00 to drop in, or use your class card, or FREE for monthly members, no pre registration required. All Levels welcome.

Everyone is invited to the Global Mala

Everyone is invited to the Global Mala
Our local yoga communities are gathering together on Sunday, September 21, the United Nations International Day of Peace, when thousands of yoga teachers around the world will be hosting events to promote world peace and raise funds for their chosen charities in "The Global Mala."

You may have heard us talking up this special fundraiser, and know that we are going to be leading students, both new and experienced, in 108 Sun Salutations, a sequence of yoga poses linked together with steady breath and mindful movements.

What's so great about the number 108? Click Here Great question, and here is more information than you might ever be able to remember!

Do not be afraid...everyone and any body can do these sun salutes, and we will be offering many different ways to practice, from a gentle fashion to the more strong athletic style. There will be plenty of appropriate "jump off" places where you can take rest, and simply watch and enjoy the event from your mat. You can share the sun salutes with someone else...share a mat, take turns!

You will be helping to support 3 local organizations and 1 international organization, all proceeds will be donated directly, and your energy, enthusiasm, participation, and any and all donations will be deeply appreciated. Please join us!
