Join the Local Yoga Community for the Global Mala eventYoga for Peace
Sunday September 21st is the United Nations International Day of Peace and thousands of yoga teachers around the world will be hosting events to promote world peace and raise funds for their chosen charities.
Three area Yoga communities, led by Sheila Magalhaes of Heartsong Yoga in East Longmeadow, Kate Forest of Life Wellness Connection in Wilbraham, and Stacey Duquette and Amy Gainer, co-owners of Kali Yoga in Wilbraham, will be joining this Global Mala by co-hosting an event at the Scantic Valley YMCA in Wilbraham.
Join us for 108 Sun Salutations (all levels welcome, many versions offered) a Yoga Dance, light refreshments and the chance to meet more local yogis and yoginis from around Western Mass.
The suggested donation for this three-hour event is $27.00, plus a generous donation of food items for the Food Pantry.(Check in begins at 8:30, the event is 9 - noon.) All proceeds will go to support the compassionate local work of the Gray House, Maryanne's Kids,and the Food Pantry, and the international work of the Siddhartha School Project in Ladak, India.
