October Highlights

Kripalu YogaBasics for Every-Body, an 8 week course, begins Wed., Oct. 15, at 7:30 pm. Reminder, Tonight is Yoga Nidra! Thursday, October 2, 7:30 pm (Also November 6 and December 4)
Yoga Nidra is the name of the deep relaxation led at the end of every yoga class. This workshop with Heartsong's senior teacher Jane Anable will expand on the practice, giving you the chance to experience a powerful yoga technique for deep rest.
Drop ins welcome, $20.00 at the door. (Heartsong Monthly Members always $18.00)

Full Moon Yoga Held on every "Full Moon" Sunday at 6 PM October 12, Painted Leaves Moon (Also Nov. 16, Frosty Moon, Dec. 14, Night Fire Moon)
The 6 pm Sunday night yoga classes that fall on or near the full moon are a delightful blend of mystery, history and magic. Join us as we weave in the stories of the moon and the natural world to the practice of yoga. Each special class is unique to the month & season. $14.00 to drop in, or use your class card, or FREE for monthly members, no pre registration required. All Levels welcome.

Restorative Yoga Monday October 13, 7:30 - 9 pm. (Also November 17, December 8) These specialty classes are taught by Heartsong's own Lauri Deary (Anusara-inspired yoga teacher) for an evening of Restorative Yoga which includes; pranayama, gentle movements to open the body followed by supported poses designed to promote rest and deep relaxation. This class is offered once a month.
$18.00, pre register & pre paid, $20.00 at the door. (Heartsong Monthly Members always $18.00) Best to pre register, but drop ins always welcome.

Meet a Tibetan Monk Our yearly visit with Khen Rinpoche
Sunday, October 19, 2 to 4:00 pm, questions and discussion included, along with a meditation and blessing, in this rare opportunity to meet a Tibetan Monk in an "up close and personal" intimate gathering.
This event is free and open to the public, donations will be accepted to support the Siddhartha School Project in Ladakh, India. Walk ins are welcome, but pre registration is preferred.

Ashtanga Dates to Remember
A weekend at Kripalu Center with Beryl Bender Birch starts Friday, October 24 in the evening and runs through Sunday, October 26. Reservations should be made asap as it is the beautiful season in the Berkshires. You will save 20% on room and board if you register using the Heartsong Yoga Group as your contact name. Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Ashtanga Workshop with Christine Hoar is on Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30.
