Love and Light to all for the New Year!
Gratitude and Appreciation to everyone for your continued support and presence at Heartsong, we have been blessed with your smiles over this past year, and are grateful for the opportunity to serve you all in 2008, our 15th year in the community!

Put away all hindrances, let your mind full of love pervade one quarter of the world, and so too the second quarter, and so the third, and so the fourth. And thus the whole wide world, above, below, around and everywhere, altogether continue to pervade with love-filled thought, abounding, sublime, beyond measure, free from hatred and ill-will.

Holiday Schedule The week of New Years
We will have class in the morning of New Years Eve, All Levels at 9 am with Sheila. (Based on the current forecast, this is weather permitting, call first for that information if you are unsure!)
No regular classes New Years Day.
Free* Classes *with your generous food item donation to the Open Pantry for our annual event New Year's Day at 3:00 pm:
Free* Astanga Power Yoga Class, (a level one class, some instruction, should have some yoga experience to enjoy this class...for anyone who loves a strong, vigorous, hot yoga practice! In the Yoga Shala with the new bamboo floor!
Also at 3 pm, a Free* All Levels Kripalu Style Yoga Class, in the Large Yoga Room. Bring along your family and friends to this class!
All are welcome, junior high school age and above.
Regular classes resume in 2008 on Wednesday, January 2, Except for the 3:30 pm class, which will resume on January 9th.

Dates to consider for the New Year

Meditation & Mindful Movement: Back by popular demand! A six week course with Rob Rivest begins on Tuesday, January 8, at 7:30 pm, he welcomes drop in students as well.
Free Introductory Style Classes to jump start the new year and to introduce our yoga styles:
Gentle Yoga for Every Body, Kripalu Style: A free Intro style class for new students, Tuesday, January 15, at 6 pm. (We do not offer a 6 week course in Kripalu Yoga for Every Body, but invite all students to simply begin practice in any one of our drop in Gentle Yoga classes on the Core Drop in schedule.)
Introduction to Astanga, sometimes called Power Yoga: A free class on Wednesday, January 16, at 7:30 pm. An introductory style class for new students, and those who have been practicing at Heartsong and are ready to try out a more vigorous, athletic style of yoga. A six week course forms on January 23, pre registration is required. (Or you can begin your Astanga Power Yoga classes in one of our drop in classes, Level 1 Astanga Yoga is the best place to begin, Monday nights at 6 pm, Wednesday mornings at 9:15 am, or Sunday mornings at 9 am.)
Yoga Nidra: Thursday, January 10, 7:30 pm (usually the first Thursday of the month, but this month we changed the date.)
Restorative Yoga: Monday, January 21, 7:30 pm (yes: all classes will be held Martin Luther King weekend and Monday, including this special class.)
Partner Yoga: Thursday, Valentines Day, Feb. 14, 7:30 pm
Pre Natal will resume as a 6 week course, Saturdays at 11:30 am, pre registration is required, so you must call ahead to let us know you are interested.
Snow Cancellations: Call before coming out to a class if there has been a storm, we post the cancellations on the phone. In the morning, if EL schools are cancelled, we always cancel classes. If there is a delay, we will make our own decision, so call first please.
