Spring Intro Classes and CoursesWe offer our introductory classes seasonally as a way to invite new students to enjoy a Heartsong Experience, or to encourage our current students to try something new. Our drop in class schedule remains the same for the Spring season, and six week courses are forming now. If you have loved your Heartsong classes, please pass an invitation to attend one of our free classes to your family members and friends.

Free Introductory Classes, this week! | | | Free Intro to Ashtanga (Power) Yoga Tuesday, March 24, 6 pm.
Heartsong Yoga teaches Ashtanga Yoga in the traditional style. Sometimes called Power Yoga, this class is hot and flowing, a more challenging practice for those looking for an athletic pace. In Ashtanga, breath is synchronized with a set series of postures, creating an internal heat and a purifying sweat, and the result of the practice is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
While not an "advanced" practice, it is a more physical yoga style, and Heartsong's teacher Patty Zubini Weiss specializes in bringing new students, even those who have never practiced yoga before, comfortably into her classes. (She also teaches the 6 week course that follows.)
Free Intro to Kripalu Style Yoga for Every-Body Wednesday, March 25, 7:30 pm.
Kripalu Yoga offers an experience of movements that stretch, strengthen, and balance the body, as well as de-stressing and quieting the mind, inviting deep peace, relaxation, and an open heart. Heartsong's Kripalu Yoga classes emphasize the importance of letting go of competition and judgment, being in the present moment, and embodying the qualities of compassion and acceptance.
This class will be taught by Heartsong's director Sheila Magalhaes, with Maria Edwards, who teaches the Kripalu Yoga for Every-Body's 6 week courses.
