> Newsletters > This Week at Heartsong
This Week at HeartsongWe are grateful to say that the studio is open, warm, inviting and very busy after such a difficult week for so many. I know that some of our friends are still without power, and while most are back to school today, some schools are still closed.
We had to re schedule a few events due to the storm and the power outages last week. Here is an updated calendar.
Rescheduled to this afternoon at 3:30 is a Free Intro to Gentle Yoga, offered to welcome our newest member of Team Heartsong, Lyn Hopkins. This will be an ongoing class, and regular rates will apply.
Hope to see you at the studio. As always, Wishing you love and light! (Really!) Sheila, Tony and Team Heartsong.

Yin Yoga is Tonight! New to Heartsong | | | Tonight, Monday, November 7 and December 5 7:30 to 9:00 pm. $15. (If you have been cold, tight, off your routine, hauling brush and branches, if you are tired, stiff or in need of some radical self care, this class is for you!)
Yin Yoga uses longer passively held postures to work the deep connective tissues of the body; the tendons, the ligaments and cartilage; areas that do not stretch like muscle; areas that are difficult to reach and open. These previously inaccessible areas are opened allowing prana or chi (life force) to flow freely resulting in a more supple and flexible body. Yin yoga encourages you to slow down, to pay attention and deepen the awareness between mind and body. It is truly a wonderful compliment all practices and styles of yoga, particularly the "yang" or more vigorous practices.
Introducing Michele Scheuer, who completed her 200 hour certification at Samadhi Yoga Studio in Manchester, CT in 2008, and specializes in offering the Yin Yoga practice. We are honored to have her join our team of passionate teachers.
