Meditation News
Meditation develops inner awareness, deepens compassion, and promotes balance. Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment. It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life. To be mindful is to be truly alive, present, and at one with those around you and with what you are doing. In learning mindfulness meditation, we bring the body and mind into harmony while washing dishes, driving the car, or taking a morning shower. With the support of a community to practice with, we can cultivate peace and joy within and around us, as a gift for all of those for whom we love and care. Heartsong Yoga is proud to present the work of Dean Hudson, for an afternoon immersion into exploring the practice of meditation and finding ways to bring it into your life.
We are also excited to host Robert Rivest for his new "Meditation and Mindful Movements" classes, offered on an ongoing basis right on our core class schedule of drop in classes, every Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. Use your class card or membership, or drop in.

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years, across cultures, traditions, and continents. While the techniques used are myriad, the goals remain the same: to touch something larger and deeper within, to transcend the ordinary sense of self, to see through our distortions and confusion, leading us to greater wisdom and freedom. This workshop will provide a sampling of various approaches to meditation, providing an opportunity to experientially explore which techniques are best suited for one's own temperament and aspirations. Open to all practitioners, experienced and brand new.
