May's Specialty Classes
Yoga Nidra Class this Thursday This week, Thursday, May 1, 7:30- 9 pm
Yoga Nidra is sometimes referred to as a "dynamic meditative practice" and it can be used to reduce physical, emotional and mental tensions of the body, mind and heart. Heartsong's senior teacher Jane Anable offers this special class once a month, on the first Thursday of every month.
$18.00, pre register & pre paid, $20.00 at the door. (Heartsong Monthly Members always $18.00)

Family Yoga Mother's Day, May 11, 11:00 to 11:45
Heartsong Yoga's director Sheila Magalhaes is delighted to offer this playful exploration of the practice of yoga, appropriate for all ages, especially those who just want to have some fun and enjoy a light hearted approach to practicing as a family and a community. Expect to make some noise, to celebrate animals and nature, and to enjoy some partner yoga. All are welcome, families, friends, and all yoga buddies of all ages. Find the yoga kid inside yourself!
$5.00 per person, all ages, walk ins welcome!

Joyful Music Improv for Adults with Andrew Oxman Saturday, May 17, 1 - 3 pm
This workshop is dedicated to each participant's natural musical self-expression. No prior musical experience is necessary. All levels of musical experience are welcome.Bring any instruments you enjoy playing,but playing an instrument is not required either!
(Pre registration is very helpful to us, to plan for the event, and prepare for the workshop, as well as to keep these workshops running each month!) $15.00

May's Full Flower Full Moon Sunday, May 18, 6 - 7:15 pm
Join Beth Wadden for an all levels Kripalu style yoga class and learn more about the The Full Flower Moon. Her monthly full moon yoga classes are playful and fun, each one unique and dedicated to the month and the seasons as they shift and change.
$14.00 to drop in, or use your class card, or FREE for monthly members, no pre registration required. Appropriate for all ages junior high school and above.

Restorative Yoga Monday Night, May 19, 7:30 - 9
This specialty class is taught by Heartsong's own Lauri Deary (Anusara-inspired yoga teacher) for an evening of Restorative Yoga which includes; pranayama, gentle movements to open the body followed by supported poses designed to promote rest and deep relaxation. This class is offered once a month.
$18.00, pre register & pre paid, $20.00 at the door. (Heartsong Monthly Members always $18.00) Best to pre register, but drop ins always welcome.

Astanga Yoga Second Series Class Saturday, May 31, 11am to 1 pm.
This workshop has been developed by Maureen Dhamodharan specifically for students who practice the primary series of Astanga Yoga already and would like to learn the second series postures in a workshop style. She will lead the students in learning how to develop each posture as well as the modifications for individuals. The group will cover as many postures as there is time for!
$25. pre registered and pre paid. (Minimum of 5 to run the class, so if you want to see this workshop happen, please pre register and pre pay) $30. at the door, as long as we are definately running the event.
