COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

New:  Update November 6, 2020
Per MA State Gov: Facecoverings must be worn at all times, even while "on your mat" and throughout practice. However, MA State Gov. says that during strenuous physical exercise a mask may be removed.
Please make good choices, no judgement from us, but we want to keep everyone safe and well.

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures:
Please review our updated policies and procedures.  We are staying attuned to guidance from local and national officials and will quickly adapt if necessary.

Pre-registration is required for In-Studio Classes:
The studio has limited capacity for each class as per MA State Government policies. Pre registration for any In-Studio class is required through PunchPass. No walk in classes will be available. Please only register for the In-Studio classes you are confident you will attend. The full drop-in fee will be charged for No Shows and cancellations made within 24 hours of your selected class.  If you have any doubts about attending an In-Studio class, pre register for the Zoom class instead.

Each student is required to sign an online waiver in order to attend In-Studio classes. We need the contact information in your profile for MA Public Health Contact tracing.

Before Arriving:
Enter only if Symptom-Free:
Check in with your health before planning to come to the studio. If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 (including cough, shortness of breath, fever, or body aches), please do not attend an In-Studio class. See this CDC website page for a comprehensive list of symptoms. We invite you to access our Zoom Live Stream classes if you are unsure of your health or not well enough to come to the studio.

Mask Requirements:
Wearing a mask is required to enter the building and Studio. Your mask must be worn at all times even while on your mat. This includes in the lobby, hallway, yoga studio, and bathroom. A mask may be removed during strenuous exercise, per MA State Gov. mandates.

Bring Your Own Mat & Props:
You will be required to bring all your own props for practice. This includes a yoga mat, cushion, blanket, blocks, strap, or eye pillow. We will not have any props available for use at the studio. Changing rooms will also not be available for use at this time. The bathroom will not be available as a change room but only as its intended use. Please arrive dressed and ready for class.

Checking In:
Enter no earlier than 15 Minutes Before Class:
Entry will not begin until 15 minutes before class starts. Please wait outside or in your car as long as possible before the class start time. Each person must maintain 6 feet social distance throughout the common spaces and studio. Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the space.

Your Belongings:
New Winter policy:
Each student will have a "spot" for your shoes/boots, and you will hang your coat up above that spot in the hallway.  Move quickly through the hallways and bring all other "gear"  inside the practice space to be kept in a designated spot behind you personal yoga mat. It’s a good idea to bring a clean reusable shopping bag or tote with you to hold your belongings. Maintain social distancing please.

Protective Shield at Front Desk
A plexiglass barrier will be in place at the desk to protect both you and our desk support. You will be warmly welcomed into the studio but please refrain from socializing in the lobby and head straight into the yoga studio. We have all missed you but please save social conversation for after class outside the building.

If you need to use the bathroom during class, you must wear your mask when you are off your mat and in the common areas. No key will be required to use the bathroom.

Social Distancing:
Students must remain 6 feet apart from other practitioners throughout your time at the studio and masks on. There will be clear mat markers on the studio floor where you will roll out your mat and settle into your space.

In the Studio:
During Class:

Teachers will teach from the front of the room. Teachers will not move around the space or offer any hands-on adjustments at this time. In Hybrid classes teachers will teach both to the Zoom students who are at home and to the In-Studio students at the same time.

Post Class:
Exit slowly one at a time with respect to social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be available at all doors. We ask that you save chat and visit time with one another for outside the building. After class, staff and teachers will thoroughly wipe down and sanitize the yoga studio to prepare for the next class.

Please bear with us as we navigate through all these changes. Team Heartsong Yoga is here for you whether it be in studio or from the comfort of your own home. If you have questions or concerns, please email us.

Peace and Love
