Morning YogaFlow, Tuesday & Thursday mornings, 7 to 8 am with Janine Boland
This is a special dynamic one hour morning routine designed to jump start your day, wake up your body and get your energy flowing! All levels welcome to attend, doors open each day at 6:45 am. Come in ready to roll right at 7, we will be done promptly at 8. Regular rates apply.
A dedicated morning practice can boost your energy to meet the demands of the day. If you want to consistently enjoy the benefits of yoga, then you need to take the steps necessary to make it a habit. One of the best ways to develop the yoga habit is to commit to a morning yoga routine. We know that habits form through repetition. The philosopher Aristotle nailed it when he said: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit."
The Morning YogaFlow is based on the work of our teacher Beryl Bender Birch, from her book Boomer Yoga. It is a intellegent sequence that incorporates core strength and stability, with forward bending, back bending, balancing poses and twists. Shoulder and low back "therapy" are also a part of this practice, especially when done as a meditation in motion. Each day's sequence will be the same, to encourage you to learn the practice so that you can do it any where, any time, and any place on your own!
