Date: June 19th, 2022.

Time: 7:00 AM

A Benefit for the Siddhartha School and the student we support there

Sunday, June 19, 2022 we begin at 7 am, and will be done by 8:30!
Come early to settle in and be ready to start!

We plan to be outside, in the parking lot behind the building, but will go indoors if the weather is bad...stay tuned.

Register on Punchpass and choose your donation price.  All Welcome.

Heartsong Yogis and their friends will gather by 7 am for an early morning start to practice 108 Sun Salutations together! It takes about 1.5 hours to complete. We hope to be able to do this outside in the parking lot. Wear layers to shed as the sun shines. There is always some dappled shade from the trees but you may have to move your mat to stay out of the sun. If you love a strong and playful practice, join us! If you are not sure if you can do 108 Sun Salutations, come do a few! If you do not know how to do a Sun Salute...we will teach you at the beginning of the event.

All Yogis of All Levels are welcome
You can do 1 Surya Namaskara (Sanskrit name for Sun Salutation) or 108. Or anything in between...or sit and breathe and enjoy the energy of the group and the playful summer tunes.
Wondering if you "can do it?" Anyone can!

  • Sheila will teach/lead everyone for the first 5 Sun Salutations, and offer the variations.
  • Variations will include watching, resting, childs pose or any stretch you need!
  • The down dog in the Sun Salutation is only held for 3 breaths.
  • We will then take turns keeping count, helps us to pay attention.
  • We'll listen to fun summer tunes to make it playful.
  • We will be interactive and share info about the solstice and "why" 108 sacred.
  • And yes, we will "do" 108 Sun Salutations (or variations) and it takes about 75 minutes.
  • Then, Shavasana at the end is fabulous.
  • Come just to be in the energy of the group.
  • Bring your mat, water, a hat, sunglasses, and....a happy summer vibe!

The practice of Sun Salutations honors the change of seasons and the transitions of nature’s sun and earth energy. It is a moving meditation, and our event will benefit the Siddartha School in Ladak, India.

If you would rather make a cash or check donation that day, just come on over.
