Ashtanga Vinyasa is the beautiful traditional sequence of poses done in a heated room, that begin with sun salutations and move into a standing, then a seated series of poses, each one opening to the next. This free introduction will give you the chance to try the practice, and enjoy the flowing, “breath connected with movement” of this style of vinyasa flow. We will focus on sun salutations, perhaps to prepare for the 108 Sun Salutes the next morning!
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a great choice for new students looking for a more challenging practice, and current students looking to expand their practice! You will go home with more of an understanding of this style of yoga and the skill to do sun salutations anywhere anytime. (Or to prepare for our Summer Solstice 108 Sun Salutes on June 18!)
Come try a new class, or, bring a friend to check it out. Walk ins are welcome! Plenty of space for all.
