Get Upside Down with Stacey Duquette

Inverted Yoga postures (getting upside down) are some of the most beneficial, yet challenging, of the postures we might explore!
Some of the benefits of inverting are:
Improved core strength and posture
Spinal health and mobility
Stimulate the endocrine system and improve circulation
Reverse the effects of gravity on our bodies
Improved digestion and elimination
Enhances relaxation and improve sleep
Some of the postures we will explore include handstand, headstand, forearm balance and shoulder stand. We will learn preparatory postures, integrate key alignment principles, activate the core, open the shoulders, and use proprioception to orient ourselves in space (upside down!) through parternering and use of the wall.
Prior Yoga experience is recommended. Inversion experience is not necessary. This workshop is an opportunity to develop the knowledge, confidence and strength to help you begin to integrate Inversions into your current practice!
