In daily life, no matter what activities we are engaging in, no matter whom we are with, we are looking to fulfill our deepest wishes. What are those wishes? One is a wish to be happy all the time and the other is a wish to be free from pain and suffering all the time. How can we accomplish this?
Since happiness and suffering are states of mind, we can understand that in order to be happy, to be free from painful feelings, we need to learn how to transform the mind. By training in meditation we create an inner space and clarity that enable us to control our mind, regardless of the external circumstances. In this way, by transforming our mind, we transform our experience of daily life.
Classes included guided meditations, a brief teaching and time for discussion and Q & A.
