(Really) Enjoying Relationships is the current theme, from May 4 to June 15 (No class Memorial Day)
with Resident Teacher, Kadam Eve Arias from Odiyana Center, Glastonbury, CT
Relationships are an essential part of our everyday life. Wherever we turn, we are “relating” to others: family, friends, coworkers, and so on. How can we improve our ability to actually enjoy these relationships fully?
Last class, June 15: Exchanging self with others.
Next series starts June 22:
Compassion in Daily Life
How do you keep a peaceful, positive and energized mind while dealing with a stream of daily difficulties? The answer lies in the mind of compassion, a state of mind that cares about others and wishes to take away their suffering. Everyone wants to be happy and no one wants to suffer, but very few people understand the real causes of happiness and suffering. By learning special methods that Buddha taught, we can gradually transform all of our daily difficulties into opportunities for growth and transformation. In this series, we will learn how to meditate on these profoundly peaceful states of mind that will gradually allow us to deepen our love and compassion for others.
June 22: Training in wishing love
June 29: Training in universal compassion
July 6: The supreme good heart
July 13: The six perfections
July 20: Taking and giving
A 3 week break will follow, with a new series starting on August 17 with a new theme.
