Jane's description of the pre natal class:
"In each class we start in a circle with each person having a chance to share a little with the group. We usually have moms to be from each trimester, and our classes are always accessible to all. We start with a short meditation, warm ups, and yoga postures (no experience necessary) that are geared towards strengthening, and centering, helping to create an easier child birthing experience, supporting new moms and enhancing all relationships. We complete with a nice 15 min relaxation with pillows and blankets. It is a great way to connect with yourself, your baby and with other women experiencing this awesome time in their lives."
Practicing yoga throughout pregnancy offers many benefits for a healthy pregnancy and healthy parenting. Yoga creates strength and flexibility, and develops steady focus and attention. While these classes are appropriate for all levels of pregnancy, please consult your doctor before beginning this practice.
If Saturday morning pre natal classes do not fit your schedule, please consider joining one of our gentle classes, let the instructor know that you are expecting, and you can enjoy the benefits of yoga in these classes. You will learn to modify and be encouraged to rest in some poses, but most of the class will be accessible to you.
