If you have taken a workshop or a series with Patty, this will be a nice continuation for your yoga journey, especially as an athlete. And if you are brand new to yoga, this is a wonderful place to start.

This 3 week course is designed for athletes to experience the benefits of yoga, with a Slow Flow asana (yoga) practice that is accessible to all. Woven into the practice will be information to support you in your yoga journey as an athlete....what the world champions are saying about yoga, injury prevention, and longevity in the sport, why yoga is recommended for cross-training and recovery., and intro to scientific principles that will benefit the athlete with tools for injury prevention.

Please bring your own yoga mat.  (we only have a few to share and prefer to have students bring their own.  Mats are available everywhere, even CVS carries them now!)

Taught by Patty DeLuca, a nurse and a member of the Medical Team at Ironman Triathlon World Championships, very involved with a large triathlete club in Western MA.  Patty is a cancer warrior and survivor, who found Yoga in 2012 and experienced benefits of the practice throughout her treathment and recovery, and has since been certified to teach yoga through several teacher training programs including The Connecticut School of Yoga, the Hard and Soft Institute at Heartsong Yoga, and Restorative teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Patty's goal is to help every-body become stronger and healthier through yoga.
