The Spring equinox brings a balance of day and night, and we begin to move from Winter’s hibernation to a period of growth and renewal. Celebrate that shifting energy with an afternoon of yin yoga and meditation, Sunday March 24th from 1:30 to 3:00! Pre-registration is recommended, as this class will be limited to 14 participants. This class is suitable for everyone, no prior yoga experience is needed. Class fee is $20 per person.
Yin yoga is an approach to practice that targets the dense connective tissue in our body, and helps to restore and maintain the range of motion in our joints. Floor postures are passively held for longer periods of time with a moderate level of sensation. Yin is a fantastic complement to more dynamic activities such as Ashtanga or other power/Vinyasa yoga practices, which generally target our muscles with dynamic movement. The stillness of Yin practice helps to balance our energy and can invite meditative reflection.
