Immerse yourself in the traditional 8-Limbed Path of Yoga
Body, Mind and Spirit

Learn and practice All Levels Yoga, Heartsong Yoga Style
(informed by the traditional practices of Kripalu and Iyengar Yoga)


Friday night, April 6, 6 to 9 pm.
Saturday, April 7, 9 am to 2 pm.

Must pre register, class will not be held without a core group.

$110. pre paid. Friday night & Saturday
Includes Panera Box lunch, salad, sandwich, soup or combo.

Friday night:

Introducing The Yoga Sutras, exploring the foundational text of Pantanjali, written in 200 BC:
"What is Yoga"  "Why do we practice?"  "What is Practice" "Obstacles to Practice" and more.
All Levels Heartsong Yoga Class, Kripalu Yoga Style, introducing the "Koshas" (Energetic Layers)
Followed by a "Yoga Nidra" or "Deep Deep Sleep" relaxation experience.

Saturday Morning:
Meditation and Pranayama (breathing practices) before asana (yoga) practice.
All Levels Heartsong Yoga Class, with special attention to alignment based on the Iyengar tradition, "breaking down the poses" and what we like to call "Asana Lab" or "More Research".
Afternoon: Lunchtime Eat and Chat: "A Historical Perspective of the Evolution of Yoga".
Followed by a deeper discussion of the "Koshas".
"Sutra Study" Continuing the exploration of the Yoga Sutras, examining the Yamas and Niyamas,
(If you have a copy of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, bring it, we will have plenty to share.)

This class will be held at our "adjunct space" the Little Red Schoolhouse.
35 School Street, about 5 minutes from Heartsong, near the center of town.

Sheila and Stacey are both on faculty of the Hard and the Soft Yoga Institute Teacher Training Program, and have been team teaching the curriculum over the last four years together. This immersion is for new and experienced students, of all traditions and practices, who are curious to learn more about what we call "the Deeper Practices" of Yoga, philosophy, story telling, history and plenty of time of Q & A.
