Full Moon Yoga Classes

Join Beth Wadden one special Sunday night each month as a way to celebrate the Full Moon and the season with an all levels Kripalu Yoga class closest to the date of the Full Moon.   Each month has a theme, dedicated to the Native American tradition, and with the mystery and magic of a yoga class  with special postures, story telling, poetry and prayer.

If you are coming to In-Studio class, bring a bag with a blanket and a cushion, pillow, and any props you like to use. We cannot share props at this time.

Yin Yoga uses longer passively held postures to work the deep connective tissues of the body; the tendons, the ligaments and cartilage; areas that do not stretch like muscle; areas that are difficult to reach and open. These previously inaccessible areas are opened allowing prana or chi (life force) to flow freely resulting in a more supple and flexible body. Yin yoga encourages you to slow down, to pay attention and deepen the awareness between mind and body. It is truly a wonderful compliment all practices and styles of yoga, particularly the "yang" or more vigorous practices.

Floor postures are passively held for longer periods of time with a moderate level of sensation. Yin is a fantastic complement to more dynamic activities such as Ashtanga or other power/Vinyasa yoga practices, which generally target our muscles with dynamic movement.  The stillness of Yin practice helps to balance our energy and can invite meditative reflection.

We call this class chill out, stretchy, yummy, happy, peaceful, light and bright. But to be honest, sometimes these longer holding can be very challenging, if not physically, then mentally as we learn to slow down!

Zoom Only Heartsong Yoga at Home

This is a class for folks who are brand new to yoga, may have been inactive for a while, have an injury or health challenge, or just want the extra support of a chair for balance and stability! Some may use the chair, others may choose not too, Cat can teach to every-body, and everyone can benefit from this beautiful practice of breath awareness, quieting the mind, while stretching and strengthening the body. Perfect for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, hip or knee replacements too!

This class is warm and welcoming, and the community is joyful. Enjoy a yoga class without any worries about your mobility, learn to breathe deeply and fully to relax and restore your nervous system and quiet your mind. Includes breathing awareness exercises and mindfulness meditation as well as stretching and strengthening yoga poses.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, Zoom Heartsong Yoga at Home
Every Thursday night 7:15 pm., regular rates

As Aimee guides you through a practice of  Yoga Nidra you will systematically be led towards complete mental, physical, and emotional relaxation. Through this process, the subtle energy channels are revitalized. Yoga Nidra is sometimes called Beyond the Dreams, Deep Deep Sleep, or The Ocean of Emptiness. It is helpful for stress reduction, insomnia, fatigue, depression, anxiety and general well-being. The practice can be done seated or lying down, and Aimee will lead you towards the "place" where there is only a deep abiding stillness that is rich with awareness, a space of inspiration, intuition, and compassionate loving kindness.

This class will be offered Zoom Live Stream ONLY so you can relax at home! Class will begin with some gentle soothing stretches and then you will move into your resting position, on your back or however you feel comfortable. Have a few blankets and pillows available to be super comfy.

Restorative Yoga

Props to gather at home for class: (suggested by Stacey)
At the studio, it would be blocks, straps, bolster, 2 yoga blankets.

At home:
4 pillows, the firmer the better
2 blankets, the firmer the better
2 thick books about the same size
A wash cloth for over your eyes
A scarf or bathrobe tie or mans tie
An open space on a wall to put up your legs!


Restorative Yoga provides healing and deep relaxation for body and mind.
This is a slow paced class comprised of fully supported yoga postures, guided breathing and relaxation techniques.  The use of props such as blankets, blocks and the wall allow for the postures to be held for several minutes.  The result is a calm nervous system, reducing the effects of stress and stimulating our natural ability to heal and care for ourselves. This class is suitable for all levels, no prior experience of yoga is needed.

Restorative yoga helps to combat the physical and mental effects of everyday stress, and eases common ailments such as headaches, backaches, anxiety, and insomnia with the use of restful poses and deep breathing techniques.

• Balances the nervous and immune system
• Boosts immunity
• Enhances your mood

Private Yoga Instruction

Private Yoga instruction offers individual attention from an experienced yoga instructor. While our group classes are a very effective way of learning and practicing yoga, there are times when you may consider beginning your practice in a private setting. Some reasons to consider private sessions:

  • You are brand new to yoga and want to ease into practice "one to one."
  • You are healing from an injury or have a physical limitation and want to learn how to "adapt" your practice at home or in class. (Examples include learing how to modify poses, and using chairs, straps and blocks for support.)
  • You are healing from an illness and want a restorative gentle practice.
  • You want to develop a personalized practice for home.
  • You want to refine structural alignment for your Kripalu or Ashtanga practice.
  • You want to learn the Ashtanga sequence.
  • You are pregnant (Yeah!) and want to know how to modify in group classes or get one-to-one TLC.
  • Your life is super busy and you cannot find the time to attend our group classes.
  • You want to bring your younger child to class but need to give them some practice first!

Individual or private group yoga instruction is available by appointment at Heartsong Yoga's studio or at your home or office.

At Heartsong: One-to-One Private: start at $75.00/hour for one or two.
Add $15. per person after two for private small group practice per hour.
